Thurgarton Autumn village clean up and preparation for the commemoration of the ‘World War War One’ 100th anniversary; was held on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd of November.
The sun shone and the rain stayed away. Volunteers did a sterling job of cleaning village signs, bus stops, benches and notice boards. Litter picking, weeding, pruning, strimming and sweeping leaves.
Our new Union Jack is flying on the green of Corner Croft and the poppies are proudly hung on lamp posts.
Thank you to everyone who has participated and we look forward to welcoming villagers and friends to our Remembrance gathering at Corner Croft on Sunday 11th November for 12 midday and afterwards for soup and sweets in the village hall.
Many Thanks for all of your generous efforts
