Thurgarton Parish Council Meeting 27th April 2023

District & County Councillor….Roger Jackson reported that there will be a glass collection service, in conjunction with your rubbish and recycling collection, starting sometime before Christmas this year. Also, he noted that as you live in Thurgarton you can gain free entry to the Civil War Museum in Newark.

May elections….uncontested elections have taken place for the parish council in Thurgarton so Councillors Denise Bryant, Katie Chan, Natalie Robinson, David Lewis, Roger Foster and Tina Tsoukatos remain on the Parish Council. Elections for local government positions will take place on Thursday 4th May and voting will be at the Village Hall.

Thurgarton People….it was agreed to increase the Parish Council contribution to Thurgarton People by £50 to £200 per year.

Village Fete 2023….will take place on 8th May, which is the Bank Holiday Monday, in celebration of the Coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Date of Next Meeting.…the next meeting of Thurgarton Parish Council will be on Thursday, 25th May at 7:30pm, this will be a public meeting at the Village Hall.
