Thurgarton Parish Council Meeting 25th November

29th November 2021

War Memorial….work on the War Memorial area is almost complete. A new map of Thurgarton, with notations showing local places of interest, will be added to the new notice board shortly.

New projects…. the Parish Council are:-

  • investigating a suitable area of land to site a childrens’ playground for the village
  • investigating a village communal space for planting trees and to socialise
  • 7 parishioners have volunteered their time as part of a working party to consider how we might improve the carbon footprint of the village

All parishioners who could help with any of these projects are asked, in the first instance, to contact the Clerk at clerk@thurgarton.org.uk

Christmas Tree…. the Parish Council and the Thurgarton Community Association have arranged for mulled wine and mince pies to be available at the Village Hall from 5pm, after which the village Christmas tree lights will be switched on at 6pm and a few Carols sung. All parishioners are invited to attend.

Remembrance Sunday Service….thanks to all the parishioners that turned out to this annual village event, and thanks to the bugler who came from West Bridgford to take part in the event.

Date of Next Meeting.… the next meeting of Thurgarton Parish Council will be on Thursday, 27th January at 7.30 pm, this will be a public meeting at the Village Hall.

Tina Tsoukatos, Chair, Thurgarton Parish Council
