Thurgarton Parish Council Meeting 26th September 2024

04/10/2024

Thurgarton Emergency Plan (TEP)…. Severn Trent will be attending the Village Hall on the 24th October 2024 at 6:30pm to follow up the flooding we had last year.  The meeting will be held prior to the Parish Council meeting and all are welcome to join.  More information will be sent out shortly.

Beck Monitor….the Beck monitor is back up and running again after an issue was identified in the code.

Priory Road/Bleasby Road/Nottingham Road Junction….a consultation on yellow lining of the road junction will be started to help improve safety.  Work is also continuing to find a parking solution for residents of Corner Croft.

Priory Road potholes….Priory Road has been earmarked for substantial pot hole repair going forward.

Village Fete….The Village Fete (Thurgfest) was once again a success.  This is a village event for the Village to get to know each other and participate in events.  Thank you to all those who attended and especially to the volunteers who organised it.  Proceeds will be going to Blood Bikes.

Village Flood Mitigation Solution…. Conversations continue with the IDB to bring this to the village.

Date of Next Meeting.…the next meeting of Thurgarton Parish Council will be on the 24th October, commencing at 7:30pm. This will be a public meeting at the Village Hall.
